Our Doctors
Dr. Cary Jackson
Since graduating, Dr. Jackson continued his education with advanced courses in such topics as Invisalign, dental implants for replacing single teeth, mini implants for dentures, cosmetic dentistry, laser dentistry training, and early oral cancer detection to name a few. A member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Jackson is working toward his fellowship. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Omaha Implant study club, and is past-president for the Southwest Iowa District Dental Association. Additionally, Dr. Jackson is on the Iowa Western Community College dental hygiene advisory board. In 2016 Dr. Jackson received the New Dentist of the Year award for the entire state of Iowa from the Iowa Dental Association! Dr. Jackson is currently working on his Fellowship of the Academy of General Dentistry and his Accreditation of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Jackson enjoys serving his community through Rotary Club International, Donated Dental Services, Iowa Mission of Mercy, and Give Kids a Smile. He was the chair for the Iowa Mission of Mercy when it came to Council Bluffs in 2015 where over 1,200 patient encounters provided over $770,000 in free dental work to people in need. When away from the office, he enjoys traveling, reading, movies, and spending time with his wife, two girls, cat, and dog.
The youngest of three children, Dr. Jackson grew up on a farm where he learned the value of honesty and hard work. Because he respects Dr. Smith’s passion for dentistry and his focus on patients’ well-being, Dr. Jackson decided to become a partner at Broadway Family and Cosmetic Dentistry and now lives in Council Bluffs. He will do everything in his power to make sure you are satisfied with the treatment you receive at his office and that it lives up to his own high standards!
Dr. Dustin Svatos
Dr. Svatos has had the goal of becoming a dentist since middle school. Growing up, he enjoyed going to his family dentist, who helped make his career path an easy choice by perpetuating positive feelings towards oral healthcare – something Dr. Svatos hopes to pass on to his own patients. Throughout his education, Creighton University emphasized the importance of caring for and serving others, as well as participating in community outreach programs. As such, Dr. Svatos values this mission and is excited to serve the Council Bluffs community.
Dr. Svatos is married to his wife, Sarah, and has two wonderful children, Charlotte and Jack. When you don’t see him in the office, he likes spending his time with family, attending Creighton basketball games (Go Jays!), and golfing. Trust us, he’s a much better dentist than a golfer. He joined the team at Broadway Family and Cosmetic Dentistry in July 2020 and cannot wait to make you smile!

Crystal Jackson
Registered Dental Hygienist
Crystal takes pride in the close relationships she develops with her patients and enjoys helping people achieve optimal oral health. Crystal earned an associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Kirkwood Community College and a bachelor’s degree in oral health science from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. While in dental hygiene school, Crystal achieved Dean’s List status for her academic excellence. She was also recognized for her work on “meth mouth” during the Iowa Dental Association Conference. Away from the office, Crystal enjoys participating in dental mission trips, skiing with her family in Washington, and relaxing with her husband, cat, dog, and two little girls.
Dani Wiley
Dental Hygienist
Dani has been in the dental field since 2000 and has been a dental hygienist since 2005. She enjoys being a dental hygienist and forming relationships with patients while educating them on their dental needs and concerns. Dani grew up in Glenwood, IA, and graduated from Iowa Western Community College in dental assisting in 2001 and dental hygiene in 2005. Her hobbies are gardening, cooking, and being with family and friends.
Stacy Curran
Dental Hygienist
Stacy has been working in the dental field for nearly 10 years, six of those spent as a valued member of our staff. She attended Northwest Missouri State University before moving on to Iowa Western Community College where she earned her certification in dental assisting in 2011 and then her Applied Sciences Degree in Dental Hygiene in 2015. Her favorite thing about her job is getting to interact with patients and building relationships while educating them on the importance of oral health. Stacy is an aunt to four great boys and she has two black labs named Marlo and Roe. In her free time, she enjoys being with friends and family, traveling, crafting, and refurbishing old furniture.
Lisa Woodward
Registered Dental Assistant
Lisa graduated from Iowa Western Community college in 1985. She has been happily employed with Broadway Family since 1999. “My favorite part of dental assisting is striving to make all patients feel important and comfortable.” Lisa has lived in Council Bluffs for four years. She and her husband, Craig, have four children and four grandchildren. They have Doodles, Pearl, and Josie, who are their joy. Lisa enjoys making improvements to their home and taking road trips.
Krystle Miller
Registered Dental Assistant
Krystle has been with Broadway Family since 2005. Her favorite part of dentistry is meeting new patients who have not seen the dentist in years and then find a new dental home with us. Graduating from Iowa Western Community College in 2004, she has been furthering her education ever since with continuing education classes, including her Expanded Functions for Dental Assistants. Outside of the office, she enjoys time with her husband, Matt, watching live music, traveling, time outside, and all the cuddles with their dog, Betty.
Allie Reicks
Registered Dental Assistant
Allie joined the dental field and our team after graduating from Iowa Western Community College in July 2020, where she earned the Presidential Honor Roll. She enjoys creating relationships with our patients and making them more comfortable in the dental office. In her free time, Allie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, watching movies, and playing with her Australian Shepherd puppy, Mila. Allie joined our dental clinic in September 2020.
Mary Ann Sullivan
Financial Manager
Mary Ann began her career as a chairside assistant in 1999. Mary Ann furthered her credentials with continuing education classes at Iowa Western Community College and became a Registered Dental Assistant. In 2006, she decided to move from the operatory to the office. Joining Broadway Family & Cosmetic Dentistry in 2009, she’s kept our practice, and our patients, on schedule and at ease. Mary Ann has been married for more than 40 years and owns and operates the family farm with her husband. They have four grown sons, one daughter-in-law, and four granddaughters.
Marty Thorson
Office Administrator
As one of our office administrators, Marty will be able to help you schedule your appointments, as well as maximize your insurance benefits. We rely on her to keep both our patients and staff organized day today! She is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, and she has over 20 years of experience in the dental field. For her, the best part of her job is simple: “Our patients’ smiles.” Outside of the office, Marty enjoys spending time with her daughter, having fun with her golf game, and attending Creighton basketball games.
Terri Lenihan
Office Manager
An Ohio native, Terri has spent her entire professional career in the field of dentistry. Since 1978, she has participated in all aspects of a dental practice. She began as a dental assistant and ultimately transitioned to various positions in the front office. Terri has performed the administrative role of office manager for more than twenty years. She is active in the Metro Omaha Dental Office Leaders (M.O.D.O.L.) Study Club where she currently serves as president. Terri has participated in the American Association of Dental Office Manager organization and attends their annual conferences. She has been a Certified Dental Practice Management Administrator since 2007 and she also maintains her license as a registered dental assistant. Terri is married, has two sons, and enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren. She resides in Council Bluffs, IA.
In the Community
Committed to offering care to those in need...
One way we give back to our community is by volunteering with Iowa Mission of Mercy. Iowa Mission of Mercy provides free dental care to hundreds of patients of all ages over a single weekend.
In 2015, Dr. Jackson was the chair for the Iowa Mission of Mercy in Council Bluffs. He, Dr. Smith, Crystal, and Lisa comprised much of the planning committee responsible for getting the Mission to come to the area and getting things planned for the event. It was a great success that provided over $770,000 in free dental work to over 1,000 people in need in the Omaha-Council Bluffs region!
We annually give free care to local school children as part of Give Kids a Smile. We also participate in health fairs where we offer free oral cancer screenings.
Last but not least, we speak in schools about the importance of good oral health and participate with Donated Dental Services to offer free dental care to adults.
